Listing Rules & Content Guidelines
These rules keep Sites of Timor useful and trustworthy. They apply to every listing, photo and profile. Breaking them leads to listing removal; repeated or serious breaches lead to account suspension.
Accuracy
- The price shown must be the real asking price, including the billing period (per month, per year, total).
- Availability must be current — rented or sold properties must be marked within 7 days.
- Photos must show the actual property. No stock photos, no other properties, no misleading editing.
- Location must be honest to at least suco level. Exact address may be withheld until inquiry.
Title honesty
- Every sale and land listing must declare its title status truthfully — including “unknown” or “contested” where that is the truth.
- Claiming “verified” title without documentation is grounds for immediate removal.
- Sale listings must state whether they are open to citizen buyers only (freehold) or structured as long leases.
Fair treatment
- No discriminatory content. Stating a legitimate tenancy preference (e.g. corporate lets) is allowed; degrading language about any group is not.
- No fees may be charged to applicants that were not disclosed in the listing.
Prohibited
- Listings for property the Merchant has no right to offer
- Nominee-ownership arrangements designed to circumvent Article 54
- Duplicate listings of the same unit to flood search results
- Contact details or external links placed to bypass platform safety features
